Panic disorder
is a condition in which a person periodically experiences severe panic attacks that may include extreme anxiety, physical symptoms (such as rapid heartbeat and sweating) and a sense of threat.
Treatment: Treatment for panic disorder includes cognitive behavioral therapy to change thoughts and reactions to panic. as well as medications (anxiolytics or antidepressants). Breathing and relaxation techniques can also help manage panic symptoms.
