Dissipation of the character

A state of mind in which the self seems unreal. Individuals feel alienated from themselves, Usually about the outside world, Ideas and experiences have a distant dream-like character. In its continuous form, Depersonalization is observed in disorders such as depression, and obsessions, and separatist situations, temporal lobe epilepsy, and early schizophrenia. It also often occurs as a result of a traumatic experience. The extreme form is called depersonalization syndrome.
