Constant Interval Reinforcement Mode

A type of intermittent reinforcement, which is a mode of reinforcement in which a reaction that occurs after a certain amount of time has elapsed since the previous reinforcement has been reinforced. For example, the issuance of pocket money every week, or regular exams at the end of each semester. This mode of reinforcement leads to a weakening of the behavioral response immediately after reinforcement (a phenomenon known as “pause after reinforcement”). Thus, students show less study activity at the beginning and middle of the semester, since the next exam will not be soon.
