in G. Allport’s dispositional theory of personality, it is the subjective center of personality, a quality that is perceived as the most important and central, covering all aspects of personality and contributing to the formation of a sense of inner unity. G. Allport identified seven aspects of the “self” that are necessary for the development of the proprium and are formed as we grow up:
1) the bodily self;
2) self-identity;
3) self-respect;
4) expansion of the self;
5) self-image;
6) rational management of oneself;
7) proprietary aspiration.
