Preventive neuropsychological diagnostics (PND)
Using neuropsychological tools to identify risks before they escalate into real disorders. PND was proposed by Wiesel as a proactive step aimed at detecting signs of neurodevelopmental or functional impairment in children before they develop into serious problems. This is achieved through short, quick, and standardized tests used in educational and healthcare settings to assess basic skills such as attention, memory, perceptual-motor skills, and emotional balance. The aim of this model is not only to diagnose but also to prevent through early intervention that promotes healthy development and prevents the accumulation of deficits. Thus, diagnostics turns from a tool for identifying problems into a means of maintaining neuropsychological health at the early stages of development.
