Neurofeedback (NBU)

An advanced form of biofeedback that focuses on brain activity by measuring brain waves using techniques such as electroencephalography (EEG). A person’s neural activity data is displayed graphically or visually on a screen, and the person learns to change the patterns of their neural activity through positive reinforcement or immediate feedback, which improves brain function and the regulation of attention and emotions. This method is used to treat various disorders such as attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), anxiety, depression, and insomnia, as well as to improve cognitive function and mental abilities. Its main idea is based on the assumption of the neuroplasticity of the brain, which allows it to be trained to voluntarily change the patterns of its activity to achieve a state of psychological and functional balance.
