Acrodynia, or “pink disease”,
A rare toxic disease caused by chronic mercury poisoning, mainly in children. It is manifested by pain, redness and swelling of the hands and feet, irritability, increased sweating and other systemic symptoms. Neurologically, it can be accompanied by sensory disturbances, emotional instability and cognitive disorders.
