A rare inflammatory demyelinating disease of the central nervous system, characterized by sudden, widespread inflammation and damage to the myelin sheath of nerve fibers. It often develops after infections or vaccinations, and is manifested by the rapid onset of neurological symptoms: weakness, sensory disturbances, changes in consciousness, and sometimes convulsions. It usually has a single course and requires timely immune treatment.
