Adaptation syndrome

a complex of adaptive reaction of the body in response to significant adverse influences (stressors) in terms of strength and duration. The adaptation syndrome includes three stages: – the stage of anxiety, at which the mobilization of the body’s protective reactions takes place; lasts from several hours to two days; – the stage of resistance, when the body’s resistance to harmful influences increases; – the stage of exhaustion – if there is no recovery, it can end in the death of the body.
