Akhutina-Korsakova battery for children
A comprehensive diagnostic tool in child neuropsychology designed to assess basic learning abilities in children with a focus on executive and psychocognitive functions associated with frontoparietal schizophrenia. Battery is based on the principle that learning difficulties are often a reflection of neuropsychological structural disorders, not just a lack of learning or motivation. Neuropsychological diagnostic tasks of the Akhtina-Korsakova battery for children:
1) Language skills: reading, writing, sentence construction and understanding instructions.
2) Cognitive skills: arithmetic problems, problem solving, and information organization.
3) Qualitative assessment: analysis of the child’s performance of the task, and not only numerical results.
