Albinism
(from Latin albus – white) is a congenital absence of pigment in the skin, hair and iris of the eye, It often occurs in individuals with visual impairment. It can be complete, where there is no pigment in the entire body, or partial (partial), Where there is no pigment in certain tissues. The iris of individuals with albinism cannot perform its diaphragmatic function (regulating light), Which leads to photophobia. Albinism is often accompanied by astigmatism and nystagmus, Visual acuity is always reduced.
