Alice in Wonderland Syndrome
A neurological disorder in which a person experiences distortions in the perception of their body or the world around them. People with this syndrome may feel that their own body is shrinking or increasing in size, and they may perceive the objects around them as too large or small. These perceptual distortions may include altered perceptions of distances, time, and proportions of objects. The syndrome can be associated with migraines, infections, mental disorders, or other neurological conditions. In particular, it is often observed in children and adolescents. It is important to note that the patient retains the ability to be aware that his perception is distorted, despite unusual sensations.
