Alternative psychosis, or forced normalization of the electroencephalogram (Landolt syndrome)
the actual replacement of seizures with psychosis with the simultaneous disappearance of epileptiform activity in the EEG. This happens against the background of spontaneous or iatrogenic remission of seizures.
