Ancestral dominant
one of the components of the maternal dominant. This is a special state of the central nervous system that regulates the preparation of a woman’s body for childbirth. It appears from about the 37th week of pregnancy and reaches its peak at the time of delivery. Under the influence of the ancestral dominant, the work of all body systems is restructured:
1) The processes necessary in childbirth are activated;
2) Reactions that are not of key importance at the time of childbirth are inhibited.
If by the time of childbirth the birth dominant has not been formed, labor activity does not unfold actively, or complications arise.
