Anomia

a speech disorder in which a person experiences difficulty finding the necessary words, especially nouns. Patients know what they want to say and understand the meaning but cannot recall or name a specific word. The disorder is often observed in damage to the left temporal or parietal lobe of the brain and occurs in various forms of aphasia, strokes, and neurodegenerative diseases.
