Hormonal disorder of the menstrual cycle, in which there is no maturation and release of a mature egg from the ovarian follicle into the fallopian tube. Such a condition can be physiological (for example, during pregnancy or breastfeeding) or pathological, requiring medical intervention. Anovulation can be temporary or chronic.
