Aphasia coefficient (CA)
A numerical value obtained by assessing a patient’s language ability using standardized tests such as the Boston Diagnostic Aphasia Scale (BDAE). CA is calculated based on the patient’s performance in areas such as fluency, comprehension, repetition, and naming. The ratio ranges from 0 (severe aphasia) to 100 (normal language function), providing a quantitative assessment of the severity of aphasia and aiding in diagnosis and treatment planning.
