acquired writing disorder associated with the inability to perform complex motor tasks necessary for writing, despite preserved motor and cognitive abilities. Patients with this condition have difficulty coordinating the movements necessary for writing, such as forming letters or maintaining proper spacing between words.The disorder is often associated with apraxia, a motor planning disorder, and usually occurs when the posterior frontal lobe is affected, especially in the premotor cortex.
