Autotopagnosia
A type of agnosia in which a person is unable to recognize or identify parts of their own body, the condition usually occurs when the parietal lobe of the brain is damaged, especially those areas responsible for body awareness and spatial orientation. People with autotopagnosia may not be able to point to or name parts of their body, despite having preserved sensory and motor functions. The disorder is often seen in combination with other spatial or sensory processing disorders, such as hemiacussia.
