Behavior modification programs

Therapeutic educational programs based on behavioral principles. They aim to modify or replace maladaptive or socially undesirable behaviors with positive behaviors through scientific, systematic methods such as positive reinforcement, symbolic punishment, quenching, behavioral contracts, and modeling. These programs are developed after a thorough diagnosis of the target behavior and an analysis of its environment and motivation. A modification plan is then developed that includes clear objectives and criteria for measurement and evaluation. These programs are used to address issues such as hyperactivity, aggression, social isolation, or attention disorders. They play an important role in improving students’ ability to adapt to the learning environment and achieve their educational goals while maintaining respect for their dignity and privacy.
