Biosocial model of health
an integrated approach that emphasizes the importance of the interaction of biological and social aspects for understanding the health of the individual and society as a whole. The main features of the biosocial model of health include:
1) consideration of health as a unity of biological and social components;
2) recognition of social adaptation and social activity as part of health;
3) the priority of the social environment and factors in determining the state of health.
Social factors include the social environment in which a person lives, his social status, level of education, availability of social support, economic conditions and cultural characteristics.
