Bless Dementia Rating Scale (BDRS)
A neuropsychological tool used to assess the severity of dementia in humans, especially in patients with Alzheimer’s disease and other neurodegenerative disorders. Developed by M. J. In the 1960s, the scale aims to assess cognitive decline and functional impairment in areas such as memory, language, orientation, and activities of daily living (ADL). BDRS includes a series of questions or activities related to these areas, with responses graded to reflect the extent of the violation. The scale is widely used in clinical practice for diagnosing as well as tracking the progression of dementia. While it is a valuable tool for assessing the severity of dementia, BDRS is commonly used in conjunction with other assessments to more comprehensively analyze cognitive health.
