Brief Neuropsychological Examination of the Cognitive Sphere (CNOCS)
A concise and focused assessment method used to obtain a primary and comprehensive picture of a child’s neuropsychological status in a short time. The purpose of this examination is to assess basic cognitive and motor functions, such as attention, memory, speech, fine and gross motor skills, as well as executive functions, which allows the specialist to form an initial idea of the child’s abilities and level of neuropsychological development. This examination serves as an effective screening tool to help identify children in need of a more detailed and accurate diagnosis, as it reveals the strengths and weaknesses of higher mental functions, motor skills and cognitive abilities. The examination is characterized by the speed of conduct and ease of interpretation, which makes it suitable for use in educational, medical and pedagogical institutions, especially when making initial decisions about corrective or rehabilitation interventions.
