Brodmann’s map

anatomical classification of the human brain based on the microscopic structure of the cerebral cortex. Developed by German neuroscientist Cornelius Brodmann in 1909, it divided the cerebral cortex into 52 distinct regions (Brodmann fields) based on cell type, density, and layered arrangement. Practical significance of the Brodmann card in child neuropsychology:
1) Identification of brain regions associated with learning difficulties, such as dyslexia, dyscalculia, and dysgraphia.
2) The association of neuropsychological assessment tests with Brodmann zones for the accurate interpretation of dysfunctions.
3) Directing educational and therapeutic interventions to improve functions related to affected areas.
