Causes of disability
By law, the following causes of invalidity are distinguished, which entail various legal consequences:
1) disability due to a general disease (this category includes a cause not related to an industrial injury or work);
2) disability due to a work injury;
3) disability due to an occupational disease;
4) disability from childhood;
5) disability from childhood as a result of injury (contusion, mutilation);
6) disability associated with hostilities;
7) disability as a result of a military injury or disease received during military service;
8) disability associated with the elimination of emergencies;
9) disability associated with the consequences of radiation exposure and direct participation in the activities of special risk units.
