Central Spinal Cord Canal Syndrome
A type of incomplete spinal cord injury in which muscle weakness or paralysis is more pronounced in the upper extremities than in the lower extremities, and there is also a varying degree of sensitivity impairment below the level of injury. It usually occurs as a result of an injury that damages the central part of the spinal cord, often occurs in the elderly with cervical spondylosis or with hyperextension of the neck.
