A neurological disease characterized by the accumulation of amyloid protein deposits in the walls of small and medium-sized blood vessels in the brain. These deposits cause vascular fragility, increasing the risk of hemorrhages, microhemorrhages and cognitive impairment, often found in elderly patients and with Alzheimer’s disease.
