Child-centrism
educational concept, according to which the interests of the family are concentrated exclusively on the child. This is the so-called “cult of the child”. Priority is given exclusively to his interests, desires and needs. The main characteristics of child-centrism are:
1) The child becomes a “center” for parents, his needs are satisfied to the extent possible, sometimes even to the detriment of health, upbringing, education;
2) Education is aimed at the fullest possible development of the child;
3) The personal interests of parents are often pushed into the background or realized by shifting them to the child.
