Clarification in Active Listening

Active listening technique, which consists in asking for clarification or clarification of something said by the patient. In ordinary communication, small innuendos and inaccuracies are thought out by the interlocutors for each other. But when complex, emotionally significant topics are discussed, the interlocutors often involuntarily avoid explicitly raising painful issues. Clarification allows you to maintain an understanding of the patient’s feelings and thoughts in such a situation. For example, it can manifest itself in the questions: “Could you clarify how it happened?”, “What did you feel at that moment?”.
