Classification of neurodevelopmental disorders by their nature and dynamics of development

classification reflecting the features of neurodevelopmental disorders:
1) Transient disorders. They occur temporarily and usually disappear with the maturation of brain structures or with environmental and educational support. An example of this is temporary difficulties with attention or speech in some young children, which improve with normal development or with appropriate educational intervention.
2) Persistent disorders. They require long-term treatment programs, since they are persistent disorders of higher mental functions. These include persistent learning deficits or persistent difficulties with emotion control or executive functions.
3) Combined disorders. They include several associated difficulties. Example: a combination of dyslexia and hyperactivity in a child, which complicates diagnosis and treatment and requires multidimensional and comprehensive strategies to address all the aspects affected.
