Cognitive Style
stable individual features of the ways of organizing and processing information about one’s environment. Cognitive style is regarded by scholars as individually inherent features of perception, selection of information, choice of tasks, and decision-making. The nature of cognitive styles is not fully studied. There is evidence of their connection with hemispheric asymmetry, level of intelligence, temperament traits, and personality motivation. At the same time, there are grounds to consider cognitive styles as a formation that is developed during life under the influence of sociocultural factors.
