Components of an ecological network
Components that are part of the ecological network:
1) Living elements: plants: eaten and produce oxygen, animals: transport energy along the food chain, people: use of resources that affect the ecological balance.
2) Non-living elements: water, air, soil, light, minerals and climatic factors.
3) Relationships and interactions: trophic: food chains, symbiotic: cooperation between different species, competitive: struggle for resources, ecological equilibrium – a state in which the components of the ecological network remain relatively stable, with a sustainable source of energy and resources.
