Components of environmental well-being
Components of the phenomenon of environmental well-being:
1) Environmental literacy – human understanding of the environment, including: environmental problems (e.g., pollution, resource exhaustion, climate change), human-environment relationships, environmental legislation and policies, knowledge enable individuals to make informed decisions based on environmental awareness.
2) Environmental competence – the ability to practice methods that preserve the environment and reduce the harm caused to it: environmentally friendly habits (e.g. waste recycling, energy conservation), environmental planning and organizational skills (e.g. green space design or resource management), the ability to solve environmental problems and take environmental initiatives.
