Conflict in Lewin’s Field Theory of Conflict
a conflict model associated with the understanding of human behavior as a result of the dynamic interaction of an individual with his psychological and social environment. Lewin introduced the concept of “living space”, which encompasses the individual with all his motivations, needs and goals, as well as the environmental and social forces surrounding him. Within this framework, Levine believes that psychological conflict occurs when a person is exposed to opposing forces in this space, so that opposing tendencies or motivations simultaneously push him toward different behaviors or goals.
