Constructivism in pedagogy
one of the most famous modern educational models. Constructivism assumes that students form their own knowledge through individual experience and interaction with other people and the environment. Constructivism rejects the idea of the possibility of “transferring” knowledge from teacher to student, emphasizing that true learning is the independent construction of meaning, where the student is at the center of the educational process. The most important principles are:
1) Learning happens best when it makes sense.
2) Knowledge is formed gradually, through active experience.
3) Social interaction plays a key role in the formation of knowledge.
