Cryopreservation
the process of low-temperature preservation of living biological objects with the possibility of restoring their biological functions after defrosting. Typically, cryopreservation is carried out at a temperature of -196 °C, placing capsules with biological objects in liquid nitrogen. In the context of assisted reproductive technologies, cryopreservation is used to preserve gametes (eggs, spermatozoa), zygotes (fertilized eggs), embryos at the stage of cleavage, blastocysts, gonadal tissues (ovaries, testes).
