An experimental technique used to measure working memory, in which the subject is asked to memorize a certain stimulus (sample) and then choose a similar stimulus from a set of alternatives after a short period of time. The test is aimed at identifying the ability of RAM to retain and reproduce the information required for subsequent comparison with the task.
