Depressive syndrome
psychopathological syndrome characterized by a triad of symptoms (low mood of the hypothymia type, inhibition of intellectual activity (bradypsychia, bradyphrenia), motor and volitional retardation (hypobulia)). Currently, there are many syndromic classifications of depression and its symptoms, different studies establish multiple correlations between a number of signs, the issue of classification remains debatable. Most researchers believe that the classification of depressive syndromes should be based on their affective structure, since it is this structure that is most determined by the pathogenetic mechanisms of the disease state and, accordingly, serves as a criterion for choosing adequate therapy.
