Development of the theory of multilevel complex correction

A. V. Semenovich developed a therapeutic concept based on the assumption that intervention in working with children with neuropsychological disorders should be multi-level, covering cognitive, motor, emotional and social aspects at the same time, and not limited to only cognitive or behavioral. The theory of multi-level complex correction is a comprehensive concept of neuropsychological rehabilitation, which considers the child holistically and recognizes that any impairment of a certain function (for example, speech or attention) cannot be effectively treated in isolation from other functions. Therefore, Semenovich developed a therapeutic model that integrates different levels of neuropsychological activity:
1) cognitive training (aimed at attention and memory)
2) motor rehabilitation (development of hand-eye coordination and balance)
3) socio-emotional support (self-confidence and emotion regulation).
This multi-level approach allows you to activate neurocompensatory mechanisms and gives the child the opportunity to optimally use his abilities (strengths). This theory is especially useful for children with complex developmental disorders or traumatic brain injuries when the condition requires a comprehensive and coordinated intervention.
