Diagnostic value of dyslexia

Early diagnosis can lead to the development of educational and remedial treatment programs to improve reading and comprehension. The diagnostic value of dyslexia lies in the identification of a persistent impairment of reading skills, due to the immaturity of mental functions responsible for this process. Diagnosis helps:
1) Accurately identify the disorder and exclude other pathologies accompanied by similar symptoms.
2) To determine the level of formation of oral and written speech, reading skills and non-speech functions.
3) Identify disorders characteristic of dyslexia and develop a plan of corrective work.
