Differentiated Schizophrenic Disorder
It is a form of schizophrenia where the symptoms cannot be accurately categorized as characteristic of one of the subtypes of schizophrenia. Symptoms may include delirium, autism, and disorganized behavior.
Treatment: Treatment for differentiated schizophrenia usually involves antipsychotic medications to minimize symptoms of psychosis. Psychotherapy and support can also be part of the overall treatment to optimize the patient’s functioning.
