Difficulty controlling emotions and suppressing automatic reactions
A person is unable to control his emotional reactions or suppress impulsive and inappropriate behavior. This disorder indicates a deficit in self-control functions, in which the brain cannot regulate responses to various stimuli. As a result, a person behaves impulsively, his behavior is accompanied by outbursts of anger or making hasty decisions without thinking about the consequences. This can be accompanied by a decreased ability to delay gratification or resist temptation, which affects social relationships, school performance, and daily life in general.
