Digital Content Regulation

A set of policies and laws aimed at monitoring and regulating content published online, including news, images, videos, and content directed at children or vulnerable audiences, including determining what is allowed on platforms such as YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram. From a psychological perspective, content regulation helps protect people from exposure to harmful or psychologically traumatic content, such as violent or controversial content. However, excessive regulation can stifle freedom of expression or limit access to a wide range of knowledge and expertise.
