Epileptic discharge is a neuronal discharge resulting from simultaneous synchronous and in-phase, as well as often self-sustaining, activation of a large population of neurons. These digits cannot always be recorded from the scalp. The chances of their registration increase with the increase in continuous long-term EEG recording (daily, two-, three-day EEG monitoring).
