Drug Abuse Prevention Programs in Schools

The programmes include a range of awareness and prevention activities aimed at raising students’ awareness of the dangers of addiction in its various forms (such as smoking, drugs, digital addiction and risky behaviours) and equipping them with the psychological and social skills they need to resist pressure and negative choices. Programs include interactive educational sessions, media campaigns, rejection and decision-making skills training, peer support, and family and community engagement. These initiatives are part of prevention education, which is based on the philosophy of strengthening protection and reducing risk factors. They are important for the formation of a conscious and physically and psychologically healthy generation capable of avoiding destructive ways and positively engaging in the life of society.
