Elements of the postnatal environment

components of the environment that the child encounters when he is born. These include:
1) Physiological component: quality of nutrition (breastfeeding or bottle-feeding), sleep, hygiene, health, vaccination and living conditions such as temperature, lighting and ventilation. These factors directly affect the growth and development of body systems.
2) Psychological component: the child’s relationship with parents or guardians, as well as the degree of attachment, love and emotional support. Responding to a baby’s crying, smiling, or touching are all factors that form the basis of mental health and a sense of security.
3) Social component: begins with the family as the child’s first circle of communication, then gradually spreads to relatives and the wider community. This component affects the process of socialization and the assimilation of values, language and early patterns of behavior.
4) Cultural component: includes beliefs, traditions and practices related to the care and upbringing of children (methods of upbringing, eating habits and approach to different stages of child development).
