Epileptic reaction
convulsive seizure that occurs in response to strong exogenous influences – acute infections, toxic conditions, fatigue, craniocerebral injury, etc. Hereditary or constitutionally conditioned high convulsive readiness is of great importance in the occurrence. Convulsions in an epileptic reaction are usually clonic-tonic, sometimes with a focal component, occur against the background of impaired consciousness and outwardly differ little from epileptic ones.
