Ergopathic attitude to the disease

Over-responsible, obsessive attitude to work: in a situation of illness, a person will take on more workloads, “immerse himself in work”. Such a desire, regardless of the severity of the disease, to continue and increase the pace of work, the desire to preserve one’s social and professional status at all costs can lead to a longer recovery or even deterioration of the condition. Taking into account the type of attitude to the disease can increase compliance (patient adherence to treatment) and thereby increase the effectiveness of medical intervention, prevent relapses of the disease.
