Examples of psychosomatic disorders
a group of health conditions in which physical symptoms are manifested as a result of the influence of psychological factors that affect the functions of the body, without a clear organic cause that could be fully explained from a medical point of view. These disorders demonstrate a close connection between the mind and the body, where psychological pressure, chronic stress, emotional trauma or internal conflicts lead to the appearance of tangible physical symptoms that affect the quality of life. Notable examples of psychosomatic disorders are:
1) Cardiovascular disorders such as hypertension associated with constant anxiety, psychogenic angina pectoris and tachycardia resulting from chronic psychological stress.
2) Gastrointestinal disorders, such as irritable bowel syndrome or peptic ulcer disease, resulting from constant psychological stress and without a clear organic cause.
Skin conditions, such as eczema or psoriasis, in which negative emotions affect the immune system and skin, causing symptoms to worsen or recur.
4) Respiratory disorders, such as psychogenic or spasmodic asthma, which worsens in cases of severe psychological stress.
5) Reproductive and hormonal disorders, such as erectile dysfunction or menstrual irregularities, associated with chronic psychological stress, as stress affects the hormonal balance of the body.
6) Diseases of the musculoskeletal system, such as chronic headaches, back and neck pain resulting from constant psychological stress, or muscle tension associated with psychological stress.
7) Immune disorders, where chronic stress and psychological pressure lead to a weakened immune response, increasing susceptibility to inflammatory diseases or recurrent infections.
