Examples of stress
classification based on the duration of a person’s exposure to a stressor:
1) Short-term stress: An unexpected exam at school causes stress for only a few hours.
2) Long-term (chronic) stress: A stressful work environment and high levels of stress at work that persist for months.
3) Episodic stress: Daily commutes from home to work and back cause daily stress, but it subsides after returning home.
